Brandi has over 30 years of training and over 20 years teaching experience in the dance world. She has choreographed several award winning competition dances in tap, jazz, and musical theater during this time. Her intensive dance training includes a range of genres from tap with Savion Glover, Mike Minery, Anthony Morigerato, Jade Whitmire, members of Tap Dawgs, and Acia Gray to ballet at The Houston Ballet and the Royal Academy of Ballet. She has attended numerous regional and national dance competitions and workshops from New York to Las Vegas since age 7 and has taken home many Overall and Special Awards for her tap, lyrical, and jazz solos over the years. During her high school years, she performed in school plays and musicals as a lead dancer and helped to choreograph routines. Brandi was one of the few elite tappers to be selected nationwide to perform with Tap Kids in New York in the summer of 2001.
While earning her Bachelor of Business degree from The University of Texas at Austin and teaching dance part time in the Austin area, she was an active member and co-choreographer of the UT Dance Team. She enjoys teaching students of all ages and ability levels including her 8 year old daughter, Brooklyn. She served as the Company Tap Instructor and Tap Director at Hintze Dance Academy 2014-2016. She travels the Houston area as guest choreographer and has served as guest teacher at several prominent performing arts schools in the Greater Houston area including: The Houston Metropolitan Dance Center, TUTS Humphrey’s School of Musical Theatre, Artistic Soul Dance Company, Precision Dance Academy, and more.
She continues her dance training with her sister, Jade Whitmire, at the Houston Met, and at various dance conventions and workshops throughout the country. She hopes to continue teaching and training for many more years to come and is excited to be a part of The PAC family!
