Cesar began his dance journey when he auditioned to be in Klein Oak High School’s break dance team (OBK) his sophomore year and was accepted. He studied an assortment of styles of dance that are incorporated with hip hop, such as break dancing, popping, and housing. Cesar went on to become Captain of the break dance team during his senior year. He also became a member of The Klein Oak Dance Company where he trained under Mrs. Fayla Curry in ballet, contemporary, and jazz. He’s traveled to New York with the Company to perform at the Statue of Liberty and has continued his training at studios such as The Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. He also trained with Progressions Performing Arts and performed in The Nutcracker. He has been recognized and awarded the privilege of being part of the National Dance Honor Society at his school. After High School he began teaching and choreographing for local studios as a hip hop instructor. He was also accepted into one of Houston’s well renown semi pro hip-hop teams, WYLD STYL and has performed with them in shows in Houston and Austin. He is thankful for the support of his mentors and teachers and strives to become a better dancer in all aspects.
