Kristin Dvorak

Kristin Dvorak first started dancing at the age of three.  She trained at Theatre Under The Stars and Carolyn Roberts School of Dance training in musical theatre, jazz and ballet.  She spent three years training in gymnastics at Finch’s Gymnastics U.S.A. and three years on the Tomball Sophistikats drill team.  She was a cheerleader in junior high and then trained at Lakewood Elite where she was invited to join their dance competition team who were National Championships.  Kristin has received both first place and third place awards at her high school talent shows using her own choreography.  She spent three years as a member of the Tomball High School Cougar Charms Drill Team receiving the Contest MVP award her sophomore year by her director.  She also received the Most Ambitious award which was voted on by her team.  Her Sophomore year she made the varsity team, became an All-Star member and was chosen as Varsity Captain her junior year.  While in high school, Kristin found her love of hip hop.  Her senior year, she continued her dance training at Fairfield Dance Center training in jazz, hip hop, and ballet. After graduating high school, she danced professionally with Planet Funk Academy where she trained for years in hip hop and street jazz.  Kristin has performed at Super Bowl XXXVIII, Club Hush and local car shows and events in the Houston area.  She danced professionally with “Divabynature” under the direction of Kimbrlee Childress through Vicki Michelle’s dance studio and also performed her own choreography.  At the same time, she performed as a singer under the name “K.Lee” at Warehouse Live, car shows, and other local events and clubs in the Houston area.  She continued to focus mostly on hip hop training taking classes and workshops at Marvelous Motion, So Real Dance Studio and Soundbox Studios.  Kristin trained with choreographers such as Tesia Truitt and Lindsay Slott of Distorted X (America’s Best Dance Crew) who she also performed with while on Planet Funk.  She’s taken classes from famous choreographers Wade Robson and Brandon Harrell – a member of America’s Best Dance Crew Winner: I.aM.mE.  Over the last 18 years, she has choreographed for dance competitions, cheer competitions, drill teams and car shows choreographing a number of award winning solos, duets, and group routines.  She’s received a number of judges awards for her choreography receiving First place high point overall awards, Most Entertaining, Execution, Top 10 out of the weekend, Best in Hip Hop and Judges Choice Choreography awards, most recently for her dance celebrating the music and dance styles of Bruno Mars.  Kristin has been teaching for 18 years and is passionate about helping her students find their love of hip hop!  She has a 14 year old daughter who shares the same love of dance.  They are both looking forward to their second year at the PAC.
