Tara Owens

Tara Owens began dancing at age 5 with Miss Judy’s School of Dance in her East Texas hometown.  Her dance experience includes ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater and drill team.  She studied under Laurie Williamson and trained with Tops in Drill Team and the Kilgore Rangerettes at Kilgore Junior College and Super Star Drill Team Co. Also active in musical theater, Tara performed in numerous stage productions, as well as pageants and college productions.  She continued dancing throughout college while earning her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Before joining The PAC, Tara taught ballet, tap and jazz to students of all ages for years in The Woodlands.  She is a certified Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy Instructor and continues her dance teacher education at the Dance Teacher Summit in NYC and various dance teacher workshops and training.

Miss Tara is a licensed Zumba Fitness and Zumba Kids Instructor and taught classes and summer camps at the Carlton Woods Fitness Center in The Woodlands.  In addition, she is the Head Dance Coach, teaching and choreographing for Destiny Sports Camps at StoneBridge Church in The Woodlands.

Tara and her husband, Charlie, have two dancing daughters, Gracen and Hope, and a dance loving, squirrel chasing, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel name Beau.  Teaching dance is one of her favorite parts of the day and she looks forward to sharing her love of dance with her PAC students!
