Kara Thayer
At the age of two, Kara started her dance journey in her hometown of Lake Jackson, TX. Her dance foundations were cultivated at Dance Moves Studio where she attended until the doors closed in 2006. She then began her journey at Barbie Rhodes Dance Studio where she not only stayed until her high school graduation, but then would kickstart her teaching career where she taught for 10 years. Being a member of the Brazoswood Buccaneer Belles is where she ignited her passion for dance team and had the opportunity to hold the position of Junior Captain and Major (highest rank) her Senior year.
Upon graduating Brazoswood High School, she attended Texas State University double majoring in Dance Education and Public Relations with a double minor in Physical Education and English. Kara started her directing career at Houston Christian High School as the Head Director, was the Assistant Director of the Clements High School Stars Dance Team for three years and has been the current Assistant Director of the Cypress Ranch High School Classics for the past four years. She recently earned her Masters in Teacher Leadership from Lamar University and is excited for the year to come at The PAC!
