Jenica Turner

Jenica is a performer, dance educator, dancer, singer, and choreographer.
She began dancing at the age of two. By age 9 she had choreographed her own piece and won in a regional talent competition. From ages nine to twenty-two, she was a part of the regional ballet company Twin City Ballet and The Linda Lavender School of Dance Competitive Company.
Jenica was also a member of Masterworks, a nationally accredited youth competition choir, in which she traveled all over to perform in such things as singing the national anthem at a White Sox game, and winning national competitions.
With The Linda Lavender Competition Company, Jenica had the pleasure to work with choreographers and instructors like Joe Istre, Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Mandi Moore and countless others. The company often placed in the overalls, and took home Critics Choice Awards at conventions like New York City Dance Alliance and Tremain.
With Twin City Ballet Company, a regional Ballet Company based out of Monroe Louisiana, Jenica experienced amazing summer intensives and tirelessly trained to perform in yearly shows. Performing choreography for adjudication, pieces were selected for Regional Dance America Southwest. Twin City Ballet Company hosted RDASW her last year as artistic resident . Jenica went on to attend New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts, and proceeded to graduated on scholarship. Jenica then auditioned for Carnival Cruise, and sailed the sea as a professional dancer.
She now has a 12 yr old daughter who is an artist,and a 2 year old son, and now resides in Houston. After she had her daughter 12 years ago, she began to share her knowledge and passion with others in an educational and artistic way, not only teaching dance but, teaching others how to dance through life!
She has been sharing her passion for movement for the last 12yrs, and couldn’t ask for anything more!
