Kalee Irwin
Kalee Irwin is a professional dancer based out of Houston, TX. She received her BFA in Dance at Sam Houston State University. Kalee has trained under artists such as Manuel Vignoulle, Chris Bloom, Astrid Von Ussar, Joshua Peugh, Jennifer Mabus, Elijah Gibson, Erin Reck, Andy, and Dionne Noble.
During the summer of 2016, Kalee trained for three weeks at Dance Italia in Lucca, Italy. Additionally, she has attended other workshops such has Texas Dance Improvisation Festival, ACDA, and Dance Gallery Festival. She’s had the opportunity to perform for Andy Noble, Erin Reck, Jennifer Mabus, Amy Smith, and Lisa Nicks. Kalee’s favorite aspects of dance are choreography and improvisation.
She likes to push the boundaries of movement and express ideas, philosophy and meaning through dance. In 2017, Kalee was selected to debut her new work “You and Me, Me and You” in the Mind the Gap festival run by Dance Source Houston. From 2018 to 2020, Kalee directed and choreographed for Envision Dance Company, a competitive dance team in Austin, TX.
